Gorgeous Color!

This picture shows the beautiful display of Spring bulbs at Victoria's Butchart Gardens.  It is so nice to see the sun, and all the color emerging this season.  Time for planting the vegetable garden and flower beds!

NORO Love

Among Noro's beautiful books is "Knit Noro Accessories".
Full of great patterns for you to knit using Noro yarns.

Such a wide variety of yarns to choose from.

This Modular Neck Wrap is knit with Noro's Silk Garden - a wonderful Aran weight that combines Silk, Mohair, and Lambswool.

This Braided Headband is also knit with Noro's Silk Garden Yarn in the colorway #279.

Here is a new Noro Yarn, "Shiraito". New for Spring, this fingering weight yarn combines Cashmere, Angora, and Wool for an incredible soft hand.  For feel appeal and to show off Noro's great colorways, we knit this scarf using just one ball of color #21.

Here is our free pattern:
1 skein Noro Shiraito Col. 21
US SZ 6 (4mm) needles

c/o 31 stitches
R1: K4, yo, k1, *yo, K2tog* to last 4 sts, k1, yo, k4
R2: K4, K2tog, K21, K2tog, K4
R3: Knit

Repeat these 4 rows leaving enough yarn at the end of the skein for binding off.
Bind off all stitches, tie in ends, block, and enjoy!

Another must-have book is the The Fleece & Fiber Sourcebook.

This beautifully photographed book is a wonderful source of information for anyone interested in Animal fibers.  More than 200 Fibers are featured from the Animals that provide them in this encyclopedia style resource.

This photo of Blue Faced Leicester is taken from the Fleece and Fiber Sourcebook.  These longwool breed of sheep originate in Britain.

We are anxiously awaiting the new Dyed in the Wool line of 2-ply Blue Faced Leicester Sock Yarn.  Coming soon to the store, we can't wait to get our hands on it.  Here is a sampling of the colorways:

Another great colorful yarn is Mirasol's Hachito, a 4-ply, sock weight, hand-dyed Merino Superwash yarn.  The colorways just make you think of summer!

This gorgeous Beth Russell needlepoint was stitched by Peter, an amazing stitcher.  The William Morris Tulip, like all of his many projects, turned out beautifully.  Beth Russell and other Needlepoint kits available in store.

New to the Crazy for Crewel line is "First Blossoms". Beginners and advanced stitchers alike will love stitching these whimsical designs.

Here is another is the series showing contents of the kits:

Just arrived, another order of Namaste's accessories, shown here in the new colors for Spring and Summer. Choose from Buddy Cases, Circular and Straight Needle Cases, Accessory Pouches, and the new Jemma Pouch ideal for storing your notions.

Another great accessory - the Sheep Sherpa for storing notions in style!  3" tall x 5" wide, it can also be used as a pincushion.

Our page would not be complete without a featured cowl or shawl.  This "September Circle" cowl by Melissa LaBarre is one of our favorites.  This one knit with Zauberball Crazy Sock Yarn color 2092.

Always on the lookout for cats and squirrels!
