Spring is Almost Here!

Signs of Spring are everywhere, and a great "must have" accessory to knit this season is a gorgeous wrap.  Blue Sky Alpacas' new Wrap patterns have a wonderful art deco feel.

The Frances Wrap is a classic and beautiful intarsia wrap knit with Blue Sky Alpacas' Metalico yarn.  Naturally occurring shades of baby alpaca and mulberry silk combine to create a shimmery effect.  You'll stop traffic!

Add a beautiful shawl pin to your Wrap.  These Brocade Fibula (as seen in Vogue Magazine) are made with White Bronze, Semi Precious Stones and Pearls.

New Yarn by Classic Elite

The latest in the Mountaintop Collection family of yarns is "Canyon".  Pima Cotton combined with baby alpaca makes it wonderfully soft to the touch.  The perfect weight for Spring, each hank is 155yds with a gauge of 6sts per inch.  Available in four subtly toned neutral shades.  Canyon is a great yarn that shows off all stitches well, from Cables to lace.

All Mountaintop Collection yarns are spun with natural, undyed fibers.

Debbie Bliss Spring/Summer 2013 Magazine

This issue is loaded with designs for women and children.  Included are six simple, stylish knits in this season's most on-trend color, in shades ranging from soft sage to palest willow.  As well, designs inspired by the 1920's style include a tennis dress and super-chic delicate sweaters.

The gathered moss stitch turban on the cover is the perfect throwback to 1920's flapper style.

"Caribou" by HiKoo
Super soft and just one or two balls will knit up to a funky cowl.  Incomparably soft, this lush nylon fur comes in a range of versatile neutral colors.  For this cowl, cast on 75 stitches using a US10, 24" circular needle for an approx. gauge of 3.5sts to the inch.  Knit until you've used one or two balls, (to desired width) then bind off loosely.
