Summer is coming!

It is that time of year when the weather warms up and the gardens explode with color!  Time to enjoy the veggie and flower gardens and soak up some sun.

For knitting, why not try something different?  Below are some wonderful books with cute patterns for dogs, cats, and children's toys. Everyone we have spoken to that has made one of these cute characters just loved the process and the finished product.  Each project includes easy to follow patterns and wonderful photographs.

Each one of these books contain patterns for 25 Pedigree Pooches.  The patterns are surprisingly easy to knit with just a few evenings work.  The authors Sally Muir and Joanna Osborne include close up shots of the adorable features and a brief account of the characteristics of each breed.  Also included are expert tips on choosing yarns, stuffing and sewing the dogs, and adding personality to your pup.

This wonderful book by Susan B. Anderson features "reversibles" - knitted projects that are two toys in one.
